Third time's a charm, ain't it? In its last gasp, 2023 makes sure to go out with a bang. In November THE VICE will release "Grant me your peace", the first single and video off the upcoming album "Dead canary run", which will kickstart 2024 as it is unleashed in January on all digital platforms, cd and for the first time in The Vice history on vinyl! The album builds on the foundations set by the previous work, continuing down the deranged path THE VICE created over the years. Still "Dead canary run" is a very different beast. Filthy rock, blackened metal, death- ridden pop, they're all there, thriving like never before. And maybe the sludge from which it crawled out of might be familiar, but there are many new levels the band has reached with this one. With the help from an old partner in crime, Joel hman (who added piano on a couple of songs) they came out of Studio Underjord late this Summer with an album they couldn't be more proud of. They've come a long way since "White teeth rebellion" and "Dead canary run" is a fine testament to that journey. It's funny what passion and determination cranked up to 11 can do. States the Band : "So now in full rehearsal-mode preparing for the stages in 2024 following the release of "Dead canary run". We've also got lots of other stuff in the pipeline and the coming seasons will be packed as we enter this new cycle. Album, videos, piano, touring, vinyls, merch. Pretty much the same as always, but completely different, and just fucking better.See you on the other side!"
